Through her work, Ethel Pisareff creates a dialogue with the qualities of the human spirit. She uses very thin slabs of clay and builds light-weight vessels characterized by their gentleness, flexibility, simplicity, peace and asymmetry. Her work is functional and intended for everyday use. Ethel is a graduate of Haifa University in creative art, sociology and anthropology, specializing in ceramics at the Art Academy in Antwerpen , Belgium. She is a member of "All together 8", the ceramic cooperative in Nahalat Shiva in Jerusalem and exhibits in Israel and abroad. She works and teaches in Ra'anana. |
